He's not. But some of us know how to distinguish his intelligence leaks from the rest of his life. I would argue that its the severity of the sentences that push these people into the arms of our enemies. There needs to be some middle ground between being complicit in problematic surveillance by the state and not ever telling the public...and being treated as a traitor and sent to prison for life.

But this conversation is neither here not there with this new guy, who leaked intelligence only to impress teens, apparently. Boy is he stupid. There is no leavening of a greater ethical vision, here.

I hear you, but I still think his motivations were pure to begin with. Then he got scared of the consequences, which are terribly harsh, unless you're a former Pres, and he picked a really bad option. I feel sorry for him and his mother, something I don't feel at all for this guy, who clearly had no ethical considerations whatsoever.
