"Hours before the slaying, Lee had been drinking with friends – including a woman identified in the filing as Momeni's sister – at an apartment on 1500 Mission Street, according to a friend interviewed by police. The friend said he arrived to the apartment at 3:30 p.m. on April 3 and that the group later migrated to Lee's room at the 1 Hotel on 8 Mission Street.

There, the friend noticed Lee and Momeni having a conversation in which Lee tried to reassure Momeni that his sister was not doing drugs and that "nothing inappropriate had happened."

They later returned to Lee's apartment, which he left at 12:30 a.m. on April 14, apparently to visit Momeni's sister at her condominium in the Millenium Tower, the friend said, recalling a conversation he had with the sister later that morning, after the stabbing.

These are different circles. The switchblade guy, his sister and her husband are wealthy, educated second gen Iranians from wealthy, educated families. Only the switchblade guy was part of Bob’s circle if at all.

Uh, sister must have been part of some cirlce of Lee's since an argument over her led to the planned stabbing. Sounds like he deliberately drove to an out of the way location. Wonder if all 3 had been out earlier. Is the sister still married? Did NOT see that one coming.

I agree most professionals in DC abstain from weed, because there is still a Federal law against it, so using has a high impact to careers.

Also, it smells awful, gives you cancer like cigarettes, and literally makes you dumber faster and more permanently than alcohol. In a city of wonks, recreational stupidity is not popular.

Uh...they are doing edibles not smoking. I live in a wealthy area in the DMV and tons of lawyers, C Level/Partners in acct/consulting firms, etc do gummies regularly.

Interesting lawyers are breaking the law; not surprising about c-level, sure this is hardly worst of their crimes.
