I'm sorry but people on welfare should not be wasting it on a luxury service - I would hope it is banned entirely
Or maybe they should have delivery fees waived.
No need to punish people because they are struggling financially.
Why would grocery stores, which are in the private sector, do that? Why would apps like UberEats do that? They aren’t charities. They have zero incentive to.
Could be subsidized by govt.
I hope not. The SNAP benefit is already too high—it should be lower with the rest of the current amount going toward housing programs.

Not tipping properly is truly one of the most tacky things someone can do. It makes me cringe. Similar to seeking $12/hour people to do landscaping work, or folks who seek nannies for $12/hour to pick up kid from school, do homework, make dinner for $36/day (3 hours). You are all cringe

They can choose to pay their counter staff well and lose some business or to make them reliant on tips and keep that business. Every place around here has chosen to the latter
