Northeastern is higher than schools like UVA, Emory, Georgetown, Northwestern, etc..
Overall ranking of Northeastern seems to be very underrated.
Do you have any basis for your claim that N'eastern should be higher ranked than the other named schools ?
Can you clarify your question?
Fact: Northeastern has higher starting salary via USN&WR than these schools, UVA, Emory, Georgetown, Northwestern, UNC, and Chicago
I said "Overall ranking of Northeastern seems to be very underrated"

20. One page for all of the Seven Sisters
So Georgetown AND BC is there but Notre Dame isn't?
Why the hell are BYU and Howard on here... even BU and Wake are questionable
BYU and Howard are very good schools. Shouldn't top companies be intentionally casting a wide net to get great employees? They no longer want to focus so much on places like HYPS. This expansion of new grad recruiting is happening in banking and big tech too.
Howard? OMG that may have been my biggest LMFOA this week. Look, people. let's be real. This list is obnoxious and stupid - having a category for IVY? A sign you should not apply. But when you put schools that are midrange at best because they appeal to some crazy lib group, you are a laughingstock. Hmm, MIT or Howard guy- cant decide... (and other stories that never happened)
When will this BS stop?
Interestingly, Howard & BYU are tied for 89th on USWNR. Neither one belongs on McKinsey’s list.
You put way too much stock in USNWR and rankings generally.

go to this page and type in a school. They all have the same info, just a different school name.
VT, South Carolina, St Louis University, University of Iowa all have recruitment pages on McKinsey's website.
Northeastern is not special in this regard.
Stand down.
You didn't understand.
Northeastern is a school that DOESN'T go to the "other" pile.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If they start talking about it as a huge goal, have them read When McKinsey Comes to Town or any of a number of articles about their "great" and "objective" work as non-decision makers.
Not only is it an unlikely goal, it is also a questionable one. Without the "doing good" part, you really might as well make more at Goldman. McKinsey doesn't shine on a CV quite like it used to when most on DCUM were coming out of college and grad school.
I read the book and I am now convinced that McK is the reason the US has declined so much in the past 50 years. Because of them we have seen the outsourcing and off-shoring of jobs, the wage gap grow, increased opioid usage, increased smoking (worldwide) and the list goes on and on.

PP here. I went back over the T100 national universities and T50 LACs and that was the only one I missed. Nonetheless, it's a shocker
NP here. Honestly, I sort of secretly root for Northeastern. There is so much hate on the school that I feel like it's a bit of a Cinderella team. I can't help but root for the underdog.
Glad to see Northeastern in the club.
Evidence after evidence on it's performance and outcome, and it's the reason why this 'underdog' school is popular.
