It would be so out of character for me to wear anything but a nice nightgown. Thankfully it doesn’t take much to interest my husband. If I showed up dressed like a stripper wearing stilettos he’d just laugh and hope that I hadn’t spent much.

15 years later I am same size and weight as when I met DH boobs are bigger and a little sagging, some more stretch marks, and a couple wrinkles. I know DH still thinks I am hot. And over the past couple of years he has definitely more than toned up, defined muscle, 6 pack, PV etc. I know he feels better but I am not more or less attracted to him. And he doesn’t wear speedos but he does wear the European cut short boxer brief style swim trunks. I definitely catch other woman checking him out.
What does PV mean?

No, we're both very much hippies / outdoorsy people. My H's idea of an amazing time would be to go sailing and me being naked 100% of the time or having sex in a tent in the middle of nowhere.

Most 40+ women who’ve given birth are chubbies. Have you walked through and airport, the grocery store, or a restaurant. Most women in general are overweight. And many husbands are overweight as well.
Yet they are married. And some of them are having sex. I’m an overweight mom who has regular sex with DH. I don’t wear lingerie, because it’s really uncomfortable psychologically with my aged body. DH doesn’t ask/care about lingerie. It seems like a waste of money and we don’t need it to get us in the mood. Not everyone is you.

middle aged man here, and that is totally false in my humble opinion. There are lots of incredibly hot Moms in their 30's and 40's at bus stops and school events. Of course there are some pigs too, but that could be said about any age group. Personally I find the hotties in their 40's (including my own wife) way more attractive than the young girls in their 20's.
+1 totally agree and 90% of them have no idea of how hot they are.
I often drop my youngest off at pre-school and that reminds me how attractive my wife is. Most women don’t look great in leggings or yoga pants.

I will often wear a simple long silk nightgown for my husband but that’s about it. That nightgown sends a clear message to him that my interest in going to bed has nothing to do with sleep.

Same with my wife. Not exactly the same ages but definitely true. There is a cliche that when a man buys a woman lingerie as a gift for her birthday. etc. it is a really just gift for himself and not for her. In our relationship we acknowledge that reality, and I buy her lingerie and certain kinky stuff for MY birthday - and then we go to a hotel and enjoy it. Best birthdays ever!
See, my DH never does stuff like this, and still wants to complain that our sex life got stale.
