My colleague and I were just trying to imagine the logistics of this portly man trying to get through the gap in the front seats to do this.
It's a large car.

DeSantis is totally loving the Jan 6th hearings. He's the next Republican Presidential candidate.
Tim Scott might be a bigger “rebrand” of the Rs.
Hmm, Desantis / Scott or Scott / Desantis (doubt that) could be a killer ticket. Scott eventually takes over maybe. Scott is maybe too decent a guy to be President though, not sure.

I remember thinking at the time that maybe he didn’t know what was going on out there—this testimony eviscerates that defense. He knew. He liked it, he wanted it. Would have been fine with whatever happened.
It’s been obvious for a long time that he was sitting, watching TV and egging this on. That interview with Jonathan Karl came out a year ago?
NP, I knew before I heard proof, that Trump knew what was happening at the Capitol and still decided to tweet that incendiary tweet.
Pouring gasoline on fire has been his MO since his primary days.
But now we have the evidence.
And we have evidence that there is a conspiracy to obstruct the gathering of that evidence.
And thank goodness for that. It's too much to expect these days, that people will use common sense when selecting their elected officials.
If they look/act like con artist like Trump always has looked, don't vote for them.

All these people wanted a bloodless coup. They didn't mind the coup part! It's the violent optics they minded.
I really don’t believe they minded violence so long as they were successful and quickly. When it became clear that the coup wasn’t successful almost instantly, they had to backpedal. I think Officer Goodman saved the country in a specific, pivotal moment and had he not led them away, the coup would have succeeded.
I hope that in the long run this country make it though, so that Officer Goodman and others who behaved so bravely on that day are fittingly honored on the list of American heros.
Vote Democratic. Pledge to yourself that you won’t fall for any of the GOP’s ridiculous shenanigans, whatever they are (CRT, caravans, Dr. Seuss, InFlAtIoN that they wouldn’t address). The GOP is sick from top to bottom. Cheney is doing fine on this but supports the enslavement of women via the governmental control of their bodies. The whole party is fascist.
Pretty sure Hutchison is a Republican too. FWIW

THEY SHOULD ALL BE IN JAIL.
I don’t think jail is enough. They conspired to overthrow the government.
I agree. Their punishment needs to make a multi-generational impression.

What is that a picture of?
The Lincoln conspirators. Were you home schooled or did you not take a history class?
Hey, not seeing that photo doesn't mean someone isn't educated. I had never seen it either and I took two years of AP history.
