Wow, the GOP really want to lose. While not a top issue for voters it’s just another data point how out of touch the party has become.

I don't think this hurts the GOP. There are not many voters who are not Dems and not independents who will be bothered by this.

Loyal Republicans mildly bothered by this will just say, "So drive to the next county. No big deal."

Our country is being destroyed this is all so disgusting. I absolutely hate MAGA cultists.

People don't vote, this is what happens.
I voted and this is exactly what I wanted to happen.

Rather than trying to turn this country back to the 18th century, I'd suggest moving to a place where you'd feel more at home. Perhaps Uganda.

Yep this.

Texas has more Dems than Repukes yet always goes red. It is not just gerrymandering.

I would say anything that touches on a person's privacy, a penumbra of Constitutional rights, and that is part of the Republicans' disgusting culture war - now, or whatever the eff they come up with next - is at risk.

They want to repeal women's right to vote nothing is off the table.

That’s an amendment. A little bit harder to repeal than a SCOTUS ruling.

They can just read it out with creative interpretation. That’s what they’ve done with the 15th amendment.

Sure but the way to reduce women's participation in the political process is to attach "common sense" regulations. We already do the same with gun control. Now we just need voting control.

For instance, if you are not competent to stand trial, you should not be allowed to vote. No reasonable person could disagree with that idea.

Check what Virginia does. You go to the Courthouse to get a license and they hand you a list of private wedding officiants. It's up to the couple to find one who won't insult them and cuss them out or hang up on them. No more Courthouse weddings. I think this is constructively the same thing TN is doing.

In Virginia or Tennessee you should be able to be married at that courthouse where you get the license by any/all of the employees there. Tennessee is making it OK for state employees to be Kim Davises.
