I feel you. My neighbor too. I'm thinking of a non-emergency call of disturbing the peace myself quite honestly.

Anonymous wrote:Working from home is a privilege, especially if you do that outside in your serene yard, where you can hear almost everything. I work from home so I totally get it. But.....
Does he mow the same area every time?
Maybe he forgets and keep mowing everyday-habitual. Maybe he can't finish one spot so he covers the other spots the next day and the next and the next. By the time he finishes it, the other side regrows again. That can actually happen. Maybe he is retired and got plenty of time to slowly do the chores around his home.

What i am annoyed about is if you know that person is home all day, every day, and unemployed and don't leave the house and still that person mow the lawn as soon as you get home from work or finished working (if you are working from home), around 6pm/7pm, when you want some peace.

Most people with flexible schedules will do yard work during the coolest daylight hours. Generally that might be 6/7am or 6/7pm. Given those two options, I’d probably be happier having to hear the pm noise.

If it truly bothers you -> talk to him about it.

Reporting him would be cruel + extreme.

Let's say you did want to report him. Who do you call? The EPA? The local lawncare union?

I’d start with Department of Interior and have them connect me to someone at BLM

Most stupid post ever!

Bureau of land management.

Lobby your jurisdiction to ban gas lawn care appliances.

Buy electric mowers as gifts.

My father is 76 and refuses to stop mowing the lawn. He is in good shape with no major health concerns. My parents yard is fairly large so he mows it in four sections on four days: the smaller front, one side, the other side, and then the back.
