No. We recently elected a president whose main campaign promise was to build a border wall. So, no.
Well, you specifically could perhaps rise above it.
Unless they're outspoken in their opposition towards Putin, I will always view Russians with suspicion. That's just how it is now.
So how does that work? If you meet a Russian-American, they have to introduce themselves as follows: “Hi, I’m Aleksey and I hate Putin”? And if they don’t, you’re suspicious?

Xenophobia, like all phobias, is an irrational fear. The naZis in Russia have already threatened to wipe half the globe with nuclear weapons. In this case the fear is perfectly rational.

I just have to laugh at all pps here thinking they "choose" democracy! Americans never had any kind of "democracy" you have a two-party system that works for large corporations that pay them to put in laws that benefit the money makers, not the people.
