What is your problem? You sound insane?
Let people celebrate their UF admission.

Really, not UNC?? Imposter alert (Bama fan)
I can see UNC being a peer of UF. They both are overwhelming loaded with instate undergraduates.

Anonymous wrote:Nobody with a modicum of intelligence thinks Berkeley and Florida are peer schools. Same goes for UCLA, Michigan, and perhaps UVA.

Congrats - forgot about UF but it’s a Top 5 public university, ranked with UCLA, UC Berkeley, Michigan, UVA, and UNC (tied).
It’s ranked #5 for public schools. But the 5th ranked public isn’t in the same league as the top three. This isn’t HYPSM. Berkeley, Michigan and UCLA are in a league of their own. Then comes UVA, UNC, UF.
Yeah, according to USNAWR, your order is close to right. But as PP says, it’s really: UCLA #20, Berkeley #22, Michigan #23, UVA #25, UF # 28, UNC #28 (tied). Are you sayin there is a huge cap between #23 and #28?? Not from an admissions perspective as these schools are so hard to get into…they don’t call
It the Top 3 for that very reason!

USNWR 2022
No where near Berkeley, Michigan, or UCLA in comparable disciplines.
This is getting weird![]()
It’s not weird. It’s just proving a point that being a so called top 5 State university doesn’t mean much when the differences are that great.
All the top companies recruit from UF for undergrad business. That's ultimately what matters. [/quote
FO MO or BO. There is a difference.
And there you have it, folks.
UF is not a stong target school.
Probably good in the South East region.

I do find it comical the lengths some are going to disprove it is a T5. Or, likely just one bitter Bama fan. Is that you, Coach Saben?
+1 (LOL)
You obviously haven’t a clue what a target school is and which schools are non targets.
Anonymous wrote:UF is ranked Top 5. Acceptance notices went out yesterday and this thread is asking who got accepted. Some people on here seem really bitter and jealous. The fact that they are complaining on this thread just proves how relevant UF is becoming.
Anonymous wrote:Over 65,000 kids considered it as contender, with only 15,000 getting accepted to 6,000 seats, UF is doing something right. And with 16% of students out of state in last years freshman class, it’s a tough entrance. And the fact it’s made itself into the top 28 of 3,200 public and private schools and top 5 of 1,600 public schools is impressive. Way to go Gator Class of 2026!
Such a silly argument here, not really worth defending
