No, they can't see it, don't want to see it, or were paid not to see the difference.
Do you support how Chinese gov manage its covid control policy? A building, a subductions sion, a village, or a whole city were lockdown due to a few pcr positive cases. Residents from a whole building or subdivision were bused to isolation site, including newborns and seniors. That kind measure protects spread of positive cases.
You’re pulling up straw men. These protestors have been subjected in needing to wear a mask in the grocery store, the Bowl a Dome and their favourite strip bar being closed intermittently, and a requirement to vaccinate *or quarantine* before returning from a country that requires them to be vaccinated anyway. They have had the ability to move freely, engage in commerce, have a job, and do everything they do that is actually a protected freedom. They are even allowed to protest, unimpeded by government or military, although they are disrupting the health, wellbeing, and livelihoods of others. The restrictions are lifting anyway, so it’s really all a little too ridiculous and too late in any case.

Just like the US. There is nothing in the Charter about disruptive protests, which this is. The government and police forces can’t just break them up because they’re being a bunch of disruptive @ssholes. Trudeau has said that he supports their right to protest, and will continue to support that right.
In addition to this, this group came out to basically government and with the intention of being disruptive and acting like @ssholes until their demands are met. They were founded by a group of extreme right wing activists who fancy themselves as freedom fighters. There is no talking and negotiating with them. They want what they want.
Unfortunately, with this type of activist, this has the ability to become violent very quickly and the Canadian public has very little tolerance and stomach for that kind of political violence, or violence on any level. The police aren’t “doing” much because of that. This isn’t a bunch of hippies chained to a door on a hunger strike. This is a contingent that generally supports gun rights, is operating heavy machinery, and is actively picking a fight.
I also want to point out that this isn’t all truckers. If 2000 trucks are participating, this is not even close to 1% of all truckers in Canada. All the professional organizations have denounced the actions. Even if there are a million supporters of this action in the country, that amounts to less than 3% of the population.
Oh, and FWIW, there hasn’t been a change in cross border activity since the vaccine mandate went in to place, so no, no one was or is losing jobs.
Did you post the same message last year when protesters/rioters blocked highways or streets ?
Did you support protest in Hong HK last year? Or were you on the same side of communist gov from Beijing?

Russia has been making significant investments into disinformation to destabilize the west.
Is that the latest bogeyman claim these days? Among people who can't understand and accept that their own neighbors and friends and countrymen may have, gasp, different views and opinions.
You know, a healthy democracy is supposed to accommodate a wide range of different views and beliefs. It's what liberalism is all about. Do you know what are the countries that mandate only one correct view and impose it on its people without any dissent? Fascist dictatorships....
What do you want? All this anger over people expressing freedom of speech and being angry with the government is a hallmark of a functioning liberal democracy. It's pretty clear to me that the people sneering at the truckers or any other anti-lockdown mandates or even vaccine mandates are people who'd be much more comfortable and happier living in a dictatorship.

Most of the provinces were in the process of lifting restrictions anyway. All were more or less waiting to see the results of the Omicron wave an peak on hospitalizations and ICU bed use, especially after the holidays and kids returning to school.
That's not true. Canada has been INSANELY locked down compared to even extreme parts of the US (like DC). That's why there is such widespread support for the truckers.
I’m IN Canada. I’ve been living the lockdowns, and also happen to know a lot of people who have lived them too. But thanks for “educating” me. There’s not much wide support, just the support there is is being VERY vocal about it.
Oh, this must be our resident Toronto rich lady pp? Explain then trucks, vans and cars, and SUVs that all left suburbs on Saturday and joined the protesters? Kids in tow too? Bus stops in the afternoons full of middle-aged and younger people carrying flags and going downtown? Even yesterday night?
Another Canadian here. Thanks for explaining what's happening in our own country. There are a lot of people telling the truckers to quit whining and get back to work. Same with the lock downs. Many provinces were already planning to start lifting restrictions before the convoy started.
Well, those hick Ottawians did not get your message, I guess. Not me, I am in no way participating in any of it on any side, but sure those moms and middle ages people and youngsters going there are truckers.
