One of my acquaintances is a Trump supporter. Takes a lot of nicotine pouches, buys supplements from podcast people like Joe Rogan, and of course donates to Trump’s campaign. He’s a bartender. Biden got more votes than Trump because many people found Trump loathsome/corrupt/incompetent/dangerous, and they wanted a return to presidential and social norms. Even if Trump weren’t so far outside the norm and so polarizing, the Democratic presidential nominee has won the popular vote in 7 out of the last 8 elections, including both times Trump ran. It really isn’t a mystery why Biden won.

Legislators and other politicians have been prosecuted for hundreds of years in this country. 4 of the past 10 Illinois governors are convicted felons. This is nothing new.
