He’s angry and embarrassed and thinks he’s special somehow. Apparently he was swearing and behaving in a threatening manner during her testimony.
Stay tuned for a giant rage tweet. Such a toddler.
Special? I'm still trying to figure out what law was broken? Everyone is (outside of your bubble).
Let’s keep it simple. He paid off a porn star and listed it as a legal expense through his company. This is business fraud. There are 34 counts, you can read them, they are clear.
Yes, let's keep it simple. Stormy denied the "affair" IN WRITING.
Again, this does not matter at all. If he paid her, for whatever reason (keep her quiet, embarrassment, public opinion etc.) and then listed it as a legal expense that is fraud. It was simply not a legal expense, that is fraud.
Paying a lawyer, NDA, is a legal expense. In addition, the NY law for this fraud is a misdemeanor.
Then why did Cohen already do jail time for this "misdemeanor?"
No, that’s not correct. https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/michael-cohen-pleads-guilty-manhattan-federal-court-eight-counts-including-criminal-tax

Trump is such a repugnant person. It amazes me that anyone thinks he’s the right person to lead the United States.
The fact that you believe anything Stormy says is laughable.
Even the judge said "her credibility is in question." The judge should have shut down the testimony long before she finished.
Please provide link in which Judge Merchan questions Ms. Daniels credibility. No judge would have ever do this!
In any case, for any woman testifying about a sexual encounter is a traumatic experience and the major reason so many women do not report rape or sexual assault. She was nervous, spoke fast and gave a lot of detail, who wouldn't be? She is testifying against a man with absolute power and this takes guts. Something, by the way, the defendant is devoid of. Trump whines and denies. He is finally going to get his just desserts!
She should not have been testifying, as it is irrelevant to the case being prosecuted. It was entirely to prejudice the jury. The judge allowed it saying the jury could judge her (and Cohen's) credibility.

I read the indictment which was linked in this thread. It mentions one law about business fraud. It does not mention the extra crime except to quote the first law. Nowhere does it state the NY (or federal)law that was violated that made the business fraud a felony.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:As the defense moves for a mistrial, recall, Stormy already told all of this on national television.

The idea that this is new information is simply a lie by the defense.
Trump denies he had an affair/sex/whatever with Stormy. This s not even important to the case but this shows Trump is lying destroying his credibility with the jurors.
Does not matter SCOTUS will have the last say and declare him innocent. They will some how claim jurisdiction over the case and over turn it. It’s not like anyone could do anything. They do not even have to have a relevant reason to take the case. They can just take it. No one can over rule them.
SCOTUS doesn't have review of a NY State proceeding.
State prosecuting a federal statute. Surely that is something the Supreme Court can review. There are many more 1/2 baked arguments(like the president has immunity, etc) that could kick this to the Supreme Court. All it takes is the willingness of the court to jump in. They have certainly demonstrated that will.
The state is prosecuting NY State law. If this were a federal proceeding, then it would by SDNY, but this is the AG office.
What is the extra crime being prosecuted? There is nothing mentioned in the indictment. Without the extra crime, the case is a misdemeanor. They are trying to prosecute federal law, as explained previously in this thread.
This case should be tossed because the indictment does not specify a felony crime.
NY has its own laws, it is outlined in the charging documents. You can google it.
