It took a while for a critical mass of voters to figure out who he is before the 2020 election. Republicans will likely delude themselves again into thinking that they can win with this candidate.
Uh huh. Trump got 18% more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016. And yet…hmm…
He was so bad that more dems and huge numbers of independents flocked to the basement guy.
Nothing will change this election cycle.
Hard disagree. Trump is going to start getting a lot more airtime and people will be reminded how crazy and what a psychopath he is and why the didn’t vote for him in 2020. He’s a loser who just lost in court big-time.
I like my criminals who aren’t convicted on 34 indictments.
At this point, no one is surprised by anything Trump says or does. America's basic standards for what they expect of candidates and presidents collapsed back in 2016. All those 34 indictments stemmed from the "Grab them by the p#ssy" comments. And still he became president. No outrage is going to change votes when it comes to Trump.
This is a grim election cycle. Most people aren't voting for Trump or for Biden. They are voting against the other guy. And that's a bigger problem for Biden. Every second term election is ultimately a referendum on the sitting president, and Biden's numbers are firmly in loser territory. That Trump is now a felon will not matter in November. If anything it probably helps him. Trump has always been a means for folks to give a middle finger to the system. That's his appeal. Questionable felonies only enhance Trump's appeal.
Trump attempted a coup, overturned roe, said COVID was a hoax, gave huge tax cuts to very wealthy people, tanked the border bill, and I. And in and in. The felony conviction is competing with many other serious negatives to get any attention at all from many voters.

74.224 million (Trump 2020) / 62.985 million (Trump 2016) -1 = +17.84%. Ok, I rounded up to 18%, close enough.
