They are so close to each other that I'm sure WV is crying that if WO gets to stay at Chantilly, they should too.
They can't possibly pull even more kids out of Westfield. There is no way any of those areas are getting back into Chantilly or Centreville.

Everyone is assuming fcps will be sending more kids to attend the school. Very few people are paying attention close enough or are savvy enough on staffing formulas to understand the downsream effects on Westfield academics.
Nor should they! Its FCPS and the SBs job.

It was mostly Walney village and few other communities who shared their concerns for not moving to Westfield.
No one from Westfield was there in person or online to share concerns.
There was one Fox Mill/ South Lakes student who shared not to move Fox Mill to South lakes ( looks like Meren had them do that)
Seema and Moon were there

Using Crossfield as the starting point is bogus. No one going to Carson lives that far.
And, the time--using express lanes is 15 minutes.
Eight minutes to Carson.
And, most of the population lives closer to Carson than that intersection.
He must be getting pushback from some Crossfield people now.
This tells me that Meren is putting pressure on him now. She's had a year to do that.
Really - what MS do you think those students across from Crossfield attend? And why do you think that you know better than their actual experience?
From my home near Crossfield my child's Carson bus ride was always significantly longer than their current ride to Oakton.
I truly love how the RIO mommy shows up AFTER the decision has been made. Where have you been this whole time, sweetie?

Yup she spoke at the end about all the meetings she’s had with families and how she is your advocate and she hears the concerns (probably directed to the Walney Oaks families).
She was there and her message was to Walney Villages people who want to get out of Westfield.
It is sinister that she is being an advocate to only certain communities while destroying Westfield.
That's really incredibly insulting to a school in her own community!
The families kept saying they want to stay at Chantilly for its programming and it seemed to be implied that Westfield has inferior programming. I heard that a lot of…
