Do we know that CB was actually found naked or is that just something the AP/BB testified to?

Part of me is convinced all of this was premeditated to resemble the Robert Wone murder. No way to pin it on one person. The other part of me is like: why do this on a day the child was home?? Let’s assume BB thinks he’s a criminal mastermind/genius. Children are wild cards on their best days. Why did he do this on a day she’d be at the house? I think their original plan fell apart somehow…

*Why would BB, a trained LEO with a service weapon on him which he had already used once, need assistance from his employee to access a second gun and finish off the "intruder" when he could have easily done that himself? What possible reason could he have thought up to give authorities for the need for assistance from the AP?

*Obviously, having the AP shoot the second gun was part of BB's plan, but how was BB planning to explain to authorities why his employee knew the location of the gun, the combination of the safe, and how to use the gun? It can't be common practice for households that employ au pairs and have gun safes with guns in them to instruct the au pair on how to access and use the gun. You might instruct them on how to use an alarm system or dial 911 but teach them how to access a gun? Doesn't make sense.

*It seems like BB wanted the AP to be complicit in the shooting, which is why he took her to the gun range to train her on how to use the gun, subsequently purchased a gun for her to use, told her how to access it, and then told her to use it on Joe. But what convoluted reason could he have possibly given her for why she needed to do that in the first place? Was he thinking it would somehow make him personally less culpable if there was a second shooter?

Make it make sense!

I have had the same questions. If they thought Ryan was still a threat even after being shot/ blinded, why did they take the time for her to go to the safe get the code to open the safe, retrieve the gun and shoot it instead of him just shooting again. It just doesn’t make sense.

It makes perfect sense if you think of it more like a gang initiation. She would have reason to keep silent.

I think he thinks his salvation lies in the Commonwealth having to PROVE he was the stabber without AP's testimony.

Not like Joe or Christine can weigh in. It's a lot like the Robert Wone case. Ridiculous story, multiple people in home, government was not able to pin killing on any one of them beyond a reasonable doubt. They also delayed summoning help and were so off that first responders clocked it. Like BB. He thinks he will skate like Joe Price did. He was gonna do Mark Winger one better and NEVER be incarcerated. Hope he is very wrong.

Why did the AP take the daughter into the house if the AP was so concerned about the strange car.

And makes zero sense for BB to not have shot his weapon again in order to stop Ryan, if he truly posed a threat, instead of taking the time to instruct the AP to access the gun safe (that was not immediately nearby) and provide her the safe's code.

He’d then “cohabitate” with her until her visa ran out and then “sorry nothing I can do” and she’d be as gone as his wife and he’d be free and wealthy from C’s life insurance, retirement etc. Sure B probably enjoyed some exotic sex but he’s a narcissist only in love with himself.

Quite possibly. Her visa had run out. He did not marry her. Interesting theory.

From the DCNewsNow article:

"Peres Magalhaes’ lawyer said Peres Magalhaes went into the house with Banfield’s husband and took the 4-year-old child to the basement. She supposedly dialed 911 at that point but didn’t know what to say to the emergency dispatcher, so she hung up. The lawyer said Peres Magalhaes left the basement and that she and Brendan heard some sort of interaction involving Banfield and Ryan above them."

Hmmm... then why was a man in the background moaning in agony on the initial 911 call, per PP who was there in person today?

Wonder why the news articles didn't mention that point? Seems to debunk APs excuse for hanging uop.

Peres Magahhaes is due in Fairfax County Circuit Court Tuesday morning, to appeal an earlier District Court judge ruling that denied her bond before trial.

From WTOP article. Seems unlikely that she would be released with pending grand jury date. Wonder if any additional facts will come out?

^without a lot at stake thus maintaining silence even if they fell out, pun intended for the FOB fan duo. Hit submit too soon.

I hope they will nail him with a strong case. Took YEARS to get Mark Winger but he was convicted.

According to police and prosecutors, Brendan Banfield shot Ryan near his right eyebrow with his IRS-issued service weapon. Brendan Banfield is a criminal investigative division agent for the IRS.

After Brendan Banfield wounded Ryan, Peres Magalhaes said he told her to get a gun from a safe in the bathroom of the master bedroom. She then fired a shot at Ryan, which struck him in the chest, and devastated his heart, according to the medical examiner who testified during Monday’s hearing.

Immediately after the shootings, Peres Magalhaes denied having a romantic relationship with Brendan Banfield.

It makes no sense that she would need to shoot at all, but to have "skin in the game." He was a trained LE officer, gun in hand.

I wonder if we will ever know what story he used to manipulate her. She couldn't be a witness without a lot at stake.
