No. I never thought the backpack guy really looked like him. I took a close look at the profile and his lower lip, etc. and to me he did not look like him. This other guy in this TickTock video on the other hand, does bear a strong resemblance but you can’t see his chin because he has a mask over his chin. But I looked at his eyebrow line, nose, and other things and there does seem to be a strong resemblance
I wish I know how to post pictures from my iPhone camera to this site. But what I did is I watch the TickTock video and then as soon as she went down so you can get a good look at the man I snapped a photo and then reviewed the two side-by-side. Although in the video it was A screenshot of his profile and in the photo it is full face.
I think it’s him because he shows up at the wrong freaking hotel. So like him.

He's rage-filled and controlling-- we don't tend to call this emotional because people think that the way women express emotion is "emotional," but this is how men express upsetting emotions. They don't cry, they scream and yell and make demands. It's the same emotion, just expressed differently.
People don't need to be psychopaths to be killers. He didn't kill her for the thrill like a psychopath. He killed her because he needed to control her in order to feel good about himself, and he couldn't control her so she had to go.
+1 PP just doesn't understand what a psychopath is. Psychopaths don't really feel emotion pp they copy it. They murder because they have no empathy and are frequently curious about it. They feel no regret, no love, no true happiness. Someone who snaps and kills in a fit of rage isn't really a psychopath, unless they're faking the rage.

The camper has been in photos taken at the parents’ house, so it isn’t missing.
The pick up truck might have one of those GPS devices that give its location- perhaps the route the parents took ( in the camper escape to the Smokey mountains) can be traced and/or the plate on the pickup traced through data searches on highway cameras ( reconstruction of their absconding route )
