Landon continued to make mistakes that made it impossible for them to beat a more talented Prep team. You can't blow clears and give up easy goals to a more talented team and still hope to win.

If those were the best officials available in Metro-D.C. area, I am disappointed.

Though a tough call, # 26 for Landon was penalized for taunting after he held onto the ball after being cross checked in the chest by # 28 or #9 from Prep. # 26 appeared to point at the Prep defender and was called for unsportsmanlike behavior. A tough call, but fine if it will be called both ways. Then Prep's # 9 was taunting and yelling at Landon's #19 before a faceoff and the official just put his finger to his lips and hushed the Prep defender. From the stands, I could hear other Prep players, #5, # 28, # 29, yelling the names of Landon players in a way that I am sure was taunting and not encouragement.

The officials' and Prep coaches' lack of awareness of Preps unsportsmanlike behavior, or unwillingness to control it, was disappointing at a marquee event for DC Lacrosse.

I am surprised in an alleged hotbed of lacrosse, there aren't better officials.

Watch both games last night. The miaa plays a better style of lacrosse.

Riverside would beat Yorktown by 15+. Just ask any of the top 6A teams/coaches

both these top HS club teams would beat most HS teams PVT or Public. They would roll Yorktown and it would not be that fun to watch

they should have asked riverside how they got a game with GZ, why not play Oconnell which is right near by?

Gonzaga crushed riverside (public). Riverside is the best public team in VA. Gonzaga wasn’t even that great this year. So I don’t think Yorktown would stand a chance against any “top privates.”

I know Yorktown has tried to get games setup with some of the top privates and they all had reasons not to play them. I am sure its just fear of having a record tarnished by a public school that doesn't have a known lacrosse program. As soon as one of them makes the match up happen they'll find out, until then you can just guess how bad Yorktown is not having seen them play.

There are a lot of club teams in the area that would destroy Yorktown like DCE 2022 or Madlax Dogs 2023. Both club teams easily have 15+ D1 commits. Would be fun to watch Yorktown play either of them.

Yorktown would lose to clubs teams. They play atrocious teams, means nothing.
