She's just really happy and relieved she was chosen, has persuaded herself his actions were "just part of the process." A little deluded, if you ask me. I think he's a total narcissist.

The show producers supplied the dress--she said she didn't buy it herself. Also, pretty sure she was exaggerating. This was in a podcast interview, summarized in an US Weekly article.

1. They didn’t need to create the false narrative about him. The producers could have said he has struck out since his wife died and is looking for someone. That type of narrative assumes he dated and had unsuccessful relationships. It’s the lying, not the fact that he dated/had a relationship.
2. I listened to Leslie on BHH and it seemed like he discussed post show plans with her. That goes beyond a declaration of love and makes it understandable why she was blindsided.
3. Theresa keeps saying Leslie was her best friend in the house. Leslie listed about 10 names of people she was close to and did not name Theresa.
4. Leslie said she thought she and Faith would be the final 2.
5. Getting married in less than a month is insane. I know other couples have gotten married on tv but they didn’t schedule it forv6 weeks after the finale of their season. They dated in the real world for a bit. I hope some of the women tell Theresa to slow down. I can’t imagine her kids are too excited about the quick wedding.

He was very disrespectful in his treatment of the women and their family It’s as simple as that.

Everybody just wanted to believe that in your 70s or 80s how lovely it would be to find another partner, I’m not going say life partner because that’s not what it is it’s
companionship. Gave us hope.
