I'm French. There is very little difference in pronunciation between "Emmanuel" and "Emmanuelle". You linger a tiny bit more on the "elle", maybe, but that's it.
Interesting points: "Emmanuelle" was the title of a series of French erotic movies with a star of the same name, back in the day.
I love that this particular man has a name with such a famous feminized version.
It fits him *very well*
Clearly his parents were prescient!

To be fair, this sounds less like dementia and more like just being a shockingly inarticulate moron.
That’s what got him elected in the United States. Some countries, like Canada, look at their leaders as aspirational and inspirational and highly qualified. Here in the US they took one look at Trump and said hey he’s an ignorant moron, just like me!

Either way. Trump loves trying to upset people by mispronouncing their names. Trump doesn’t seem to realize he has crossed the line and is beyond upsetting people. The GOP had best get themselves into gear if they want the U.S. to have a future that is palatable to Americans.

A lot of Biden insiders claim not to have noticed that Biden was slowing because of propinquity. Trump’s decline is swifter and more notable.
