I believe that my mom would be less maga if she thought she was going to live to see the consequences. But at 80, she's just gleeful that she's making a lot off her investments. "It's coming in faster than I can spend it!"

She literally shrugs at the bloodbath in my profession, and leaves the room when I ask her what she thinks the economy will look like for her grandchildren.

What's your professional. And how can you have a positive relationship, mother or no mother, with someone who cares so little for your children's future?

Wow, does anyone remember who was president then?

He sucks at the economy. I don’t know why MAGA thought their lives were better under Trump 1.0?

They received Trump checks with his name on it and figured he sent it from his personal Trump bank account. Trump loves the uneducated.

The markets are beyond irrational now. They keep pumping values up like it’s a strong economy underneath.

When the bloodletting starts, it will be a bloodbath. Grandma better be prepared.

Dear MAGA...look what Trump has done to the economy. He is doing the same thing to the US healthcare industry, public health, the education infrastructure, research and every sector of our economy.

Democrats/liberals alone will not be able to stop Trump and his oligarch class from fishing us off, we need you to wake up from the fog, admit that you were lied to and join us in saving our republic.

RFK jr is going to kill off the elderly, who will vote for Trump then?

That says it all. The economic numbers are so bad he's using Epstein as a distraction.

Lmao!

Indeed, numbers so bad that you talk about your pedo club bestie.

Trump is already undermining the markets and the economy that Biden had produced in the wake of COVID and the related supply chain issues.

Trump is promising to bring down inflation, continue to grow the markets and protect American companies with tariffs.

He is already saying he will exempt Apple and Tesla from tariffs (because the bribes are too hard to pass up)

Trump will have little control over what we'll see out of the economy over the next four years. Our economy is a very huge ship that turns very slowly. The only things Trump and Biden have done that have had a noticeable impact on the economy is fueling inflationary pressures with all the Covid rescue dollars they pumped into the economy in 2020 and 2021. Neither Trump or Biden has ever done anything that has had a noticeable impact on the economy in a manner most Americans would consider helpful.

This post didn't age well. Trump managed to tank the US economy in 8 months from "the envy of the world" that he inherited from Biden.

Congrats MAGA.

We are not winning

And btw, equities went up on the news that people are not working. Apparently, it is a positive sign that the interest rates will definitely be cut, maybe three cuts this year. Great for businesses wanting to borrow money, not so great for the under and unemployed people.

Yeah this is what people mean when they say the stock market is not the economy. But it is possible to have record high stock markets and amazing job numbers, i.e. our previous President.

Yes but it's not possible to have all of that and a happy MAGA base.

Losing your job to own the libs.

I do! But the Republicans have been on a mission to try to blame 2020 on Biden. It’s really sad.
