Georgetown Prep looks like a better team and maybe SJC also (they beat BL 10-7 and McDonough had two one goal games with them). I'm the farthest you can be from being an MIAA homer, I can't stand the Baltimore biased that is constantly displayed in IL lacrosse and even US Lacrosse magazine.

With that being said, I wouldn't base your reasoning on results from early March. Just look at the college ranks, Duke looked like crap in the middle of February (lost to Jacksonville) but got hot as the season played on and ended up being the #1 seed in the big dance. I attended the BL - SJC game and while the Cadets dominated the first half, it became a very close contest in the 4th quarter.

I thought the BL - McDonogh contest was rather boring to watch and it's mainly due to how McDonogh runs their offense through Millon. McDonogh doesn't have a ton of depth, it's a rather small school.

The 2nd game between Calvert Hall and Loyola was a much more entertaining game and the pace of play was on full display. Calvert Hall has some horses in the midfield and plays at a fast clip.

The only team that has constantly shown it can put up big numbers this year on the offensive end is the Lil Hoyas. Prep has put up double-digit goals in basically all of their games this Spring and has won by wide massive margins. An 18-2 victory over Bullis is very impressive and it's not like Bullis is some rag-tag program either. Landon was a dramatically different team since when I saw them play in March, and the Hoyas took it to them last week.

How would Prep fair against McDonogh or Calvert Hall, I don't know... the season is over. But data shows, Prep has been able to score at will this season against very top-flight competition.

As it relates to SJC, the Cadet's offense was not lights out this year. A 9-5 victory over PVI a week ago supports this especially when your FOGO won 65 plus percent of the faceoffs this Spring. SJC was able to hide its offensive woes with the phenomenal goalie play in Big Tasty.

One thing that is vastly different between IAC, WCAC and MIAA teams is they tend to improve a shit ton throughout the course of the season as the MIAA is a very deep conference. SJC and Gonzaga don't get much better playing O'Connell or the Heights or Ryken or Ireton or McNamara. Every game in the MIAA A conference is basically a dogfight except for when you play John Carroll.

The bottom 6-7 in the MIAA wouldn’t be a dogfight if the top teams in the WCAC and the IAC were in the same league. It’s only a dogfight for the MIAA team because they just aren’t as good as they used to be. Everyone thought St. John’s would get walked by St. Anthony’s but that didn’t happen.

Preparation is key. St. John’s would handle any of the DMV teams to include the MIAA and the baby Hoyas due to preparation. They have done it for 3 years straight now.

The only team that Prep beat big that was supposed to be good at the start of the season was Bullis. The other big scores were against weak teams. Take a look and prove me wrong. 9 straight weak teams in the middle of the schedule.
