Oh, I see that OPEC has chosen to what happens if Putin's side takes over the U.S.
Timing is suspect
I've said it many times before, but the US should just go make nice with Iran. The Iranian regime is absolutely horrible, but they are no worse than the Saudis. There is no reason to continue to shun Iran from the world oil markets and allow Saudi to dictate.
Iranians won’t play ball with their oil - that’s how whole problem started back in the 50s
They had issues with BP
Sure they will. Offer to eliminate sanctions, let them sell oil on the world market, etc. and they will happily do it. The Iranian regime desperately needs to get their economy in better shape.
That offer was basically on the table and they rejected it. The government doesn't speak for or control the IRGC. That's the problem. That's also the problem they are having with the protests.
That offer was never on the table. Why do you insist on making things up?
The Government of Iran was unable to make assurances regarding the IRGC. There was a reasonable offer on the table. The opportunity was there.

Look it up yourself. The talks were widely covered. You'll also need to learn about the structure of Iranian institutions for the background context. Perhaps a visit to your local library will help.

No. No. No. No. Just no. And besides there’s no way AIPAC would ever allow this.

Iran is having some issues right now.
The West offered Iran an off ramp but the IRGC didn't want it.
They took the off-ramp that was offered, and then Trump blew it up because the Saudis wanted him to. Saudi and Iran are regional rivals. We have taken the Saudi side of that for 40 plus years on the basis that Saudi would pump oil when needed. Saudi has proven they are not good allies, so no reason to keep taking their side.
