+1. It’s like she’s trying to one-up Jennifer Garner by taking his name. No hyphen even.

There's no way she is going to use "Jennifer Affleck" professionally. Jennifer Lopez is her brand. Lots of celebrities don't use their legal name.

Anonymous wrote:Did JLo take the other husbands’ names or is this the first time? I read that she’s now Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

I honestly wouldn’t care.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I think they have a shot if she downshifts and makes the relationship the priority. Like, if she's still doing albums or major projects it's not going to work.
I realize that's sexist, but he seems very needy and she seems drawn to men that are. Ben is probably a little better than Marc Anthony or A-Rod, but still.
I do wish them the best.
Why doesn’t he have to downshift and make the relationship a priority?

After twenty years (almost!) he FINALLY married her!! 👏🏽
I just think they were too young, unsure + immature back in ‘04.
Now they are older, have life experience & wisdom behind them plus they are parents now so this time their love is right on time.
I wish them a lifetime of beautiful life.
Part of me (the skeptic) would resent Ben for all the things he told the press after their very public break-up.
Remember when he mentioned that he had “no business” being engaged to her?
And that he felt “gross” while in that relationship??
How he dumped her and made her breaking heart run into the arms of Marc Anthony?
For Jenn’s sake > I hope Ben has matured since then and is apologetic for all he stated publicly.

Nor do I much care. But I’m not so mean-spirited that I would literally (as someone else said) “count the days.” Their marriage is none of my business. Like any married couple, I wish them well, and I hope they are happy as individuals and as a couple.
How is it none of your business when they’ve gone out of their way to make it public?
I’m sure you have the same passion about the marriage of any two famous people, right? Sure.
I really don’t get the intense animus people have for Lopez, the decision that she’s a bad mother and Garner is “classy” and all the rest. It’s a crock.
Sounds like they assume all latinas are bad mothers and eat tacos all day. It’s amazing how ignorant and hateful people get. If only they grab and read more books about the different cultures and open their minds…
Bringing men in and out of your children’s lives is not being a good mother.
+1 regardless of culture

Not all latinas behave like JLo. In fact, most of the ones I know are wonderful, devoted mothers.

Good points but a key question is will both accept being less relevant and be able to shift focus to family life vs. always chasing the awards etc. He seems more willing to live a lower-key life than she, but she does seem madly in love with him so maybe(?)
No, I don't think they will accept a loss of relevancy easily or at all. I think she'll bring her best game for a bit (because for whatever reasons she adores this guy) which is why I say more than five years, but I think the demands and stresses of what they will face will make it not enough.I also think the fear of public humiliation once again and her own embarassment over repeated failure may make her stay a little longer and tolerate more bs from him than she would otherwise. When he starts devaluing her or blaming her/abusing her for his failures, she's going to get reactive and abusive back and soon after she is going to walk. And she will see herself as having been abused. (And leaving as her empowerment. Cue the next album).
