In China, Second Wave Coronavirus Narrative Fails To Hold
Great news for markets: data out of China tells us that the second wave of the coronavirus is unsurfable. It’s flat. There is no wave to catch.
If there is no meaningful second wave months after lifting restrictions in Wuhan, then there might not be any meaningful second waves anywhere else. Markets are already onto this line of thinking.

If there’s no second wave in China, it’s bc they are actually testing their citizens, or the virus is actually getting weaker.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Sweden is also overall quite interesting case as all those who are watching it know.
Considering that we are comparing a country of 10 Million people with a state of 20 Million,
When you look at the NY state, remember that you are looking at twice the size of the population of Sweden,
but the case numbers and the Deaths cases are far greater then just two times.
So while the Swedish socio/epidemiological project is not yet done, it is almost over and
this is how the raw numbers compare:
Sweden - Population circa 10 Million
Coronavirus Cases:
41,883
Deaths:
4,562
New York - Population circa 20 million.
Coronavirus Cases:
383,899
Deaths:
30,281
I'll admit I have no medical background or knowledge... So can you explain this to me in layman's terms?
Does it mean that NOT closing down a city/country is actually more beneficial in the long run?
Please excuse me if this question is silly sounding, mods please delete if it doesn't belong in this thread

Lowest corona fatalities in 8 weeks! (in NYC)
Looks like we might be getting a grip on this disease.

Yes!
My company is rehiring many furloughed workers as we speak.
Why do you all need to bring politics into this.
This is not good news, it just means Trump might actually win again.
It's been discussed numerous times on here that Biden is the real hope for our country. And to rid us of this terrible virus.
People getting paychecks is very good news. There are help wanted signs all over my Maryland town.
Again, why is this good news?
Why do we keep discussing jobs?
I literally don't understand how this can be good. The economy was the ONLY thing that was going for trump, if we go into a (temporary) RECESSION then he's got nothing.
If the economy rebounds and people start "getting paychecks" (as you say) then he'll have a slight chance of winning again which isn't good for anyone.
Let's keep this thread on topic please (with good news)
(not trying to be rude or anything so I hope no one gets offended or upset!)

Absolutely breathtaking display of solidarity.
I'm just loving how celebrities are finally starting to "get it"
We ARE in this together, no one is immune, the virus doesn't just pick and choose people based on their celebrity status or how many Twitter followers they have.
solidarity is how we will recover. WE ARE ONE.
Some celebs are even pledging to shave their heads and pose nude to bring awareness and fund-raise. They are using their platform to do good in this world
Here is some more good news, happy Friday, All!
