Andrei's adopted from Russia! Together, you joyfully returned (where haven't you been in the world, Andrei's Mom?) to Russia where you finally got to meet two-year old Andrei. Now, it's a slower paced but contented life in Arlington. Mom, you are in demand and freelancing in development work. You really should start an LLC or consider hiring some employees. Andrei has your husband's first name as his middle and it's an unexpected, yet apt name for your son because he looks like DH's family: Robert. Andrei Robert

You live on the metro in MOCO. DH works in project management. You have a JD but work for a small federal contractor as part time contracting and compliance officer. Rosie is named after your mom (middle name Rose) and DH's grandmother. Your DH's name is Andrew and he goes by Drew.

You aren't Irish but your husband is and you have an over-involved MIL. You knew you'd never hear the end of it if you used the names you loved from your own heritage (Dmitri and Sasha) so closed your eyes, plopped a finger down on DH's family tree, said "ERMERGERD NO" and just googled "irish names" and picked the least offensive ones instead.

You have a very long name and hated it growing up. You went by a nickname and wished it was your full name. When you were pregnant, great aunt Lucille passed away. You'd had Lucy on your list anyways, but now it was bumped to the top. You got pregnant with your second when Lucy was only 4 months old on a family getaway to Jackson Creek. You were hoping for a girl so you could use the name you'd been saving since childhood. You got a boy instead and decided to name him after your celebrity crush (Prince William). Three years later, you finally got your girl and discovered DH hated Sadie (too nicknamey) and Sarah (ex-girlfriend). He wanted Cassie after his beloved golden retriever. You compromised and went with Cassandra, nn Sadie. He calls her Cassie sometimes, but you give him the death glare and he switches to Cassandra.

You live in a VA suburb. Your kids are grown and your deciding whether or not to downsize your home. Your husband is ready but you're fighting it because you're holding out hope that one (or more) of them will move back in. Sure, Allison is married, but she lives in a tiny condo with her husband and maybe they'll decide to stay with you for a few months once they have a baby. Leah is in SF but could move back anytime and need to stay with you. Gabe is a bachelor and loves his city bachelor pad, but you worry his income can't support it.
