Agree. And for Sophie and Kevin to agree to back together that quickly is ridiculous. The writers seem to be trying to quickly tie things up for a happy ever after for the kids.

Flash forward 1: season 3 ep18
I see Randall with a lot of gray hair when he greets Toby and in the kitchen, get up and head to the bedroom. I then see a flashback with young Randall in the hospital. Back at the cabin, when he tells Rebecca he’s there I see no gray hair.

If the writers were reading this they'd be rolling their eyes so hard at this, and the fact that the gray hair was picked up slightly more in some shots than others because of the lighting.

So you're saying that Randall just so happens to be wearing the exact same outfit in two different scenes that happen several years apart?

And you’re saying his hair goes black to gray to black all in the same day.
His hair is not that different. Any difference you are seeing is easily explained by different lighting and possibly a simple continuity error. Those scenes were undoubtedly shot on different days, and the hair might have ended up a bit more gray one day than another. I'm sure if you look close enough their wrinkles don't match exactly either. It's really not that deep.

The people overanalyzing this sequence are undoubtedly the same people who agonized for weeks over the slightest inconsistencies in earlier seasons - ages, geographical locations and distances, current events, dates, etc. They are truly exhausting.

The point was it’s the recipient, not the sender, who carries it — but a pp pointed out that a “yes” was circled and Sophie returned the valentine to Kevin. These are types of details the writers invite you to obsess over — it a hallmark throughout the series.

It had to be Sophie. I hated this convoluted episode. No way would he end up with Katie Lowes who was just introduced last week. And he and Cassidy have established multiple times that they are better off as friends. There were a few gems like Rebecca’s talk with Sophie towards the end but otherwise the episode could have been better after the highs of the last few episodes. But I’ve always been on Team Sophie so I am happy overall.
So much dynamite and so little POW! A shocking underperformance by the writers this episode. But all in all still a win. (Although Mandy Moore may have had the best scene when she talked to Sophie).
DP. +100 Mandy Moore has been having some awesome scenes lately. Has she ever won an Emmy? She is really a fantastic, natural actress.

No. It is (and has always been) obviously Sophie. They are both finally at the right places in their lives to make this relationship work. I do feel bad for Sophie having never had children though.

Sure. But it would be a very strange coincidence that he put on the exact same combination of clothing (it's a whole outfit that is the same, not just a shirt or a sweater) on a day when he was visiting a dying relative, several years apart. It would also be odd to have the exact same glasses so many years apart. I get new frames every year or two. Most people's prescription changes, and styles change. I don't even own glasses that I had 5 years ago.
