Yes, it is a violation of the public records act.

I think it’s illegal, isn’t it? They’re supposed to be preserving records, not using mechanisms that are designed to disappear conversations after a time.

Correct. One of the bad jokes about this whole scandal is that they are doing exactly what Hillary was doing with #HerEmails.

Honestly, the presentation of that doc is really off putting. All the fonts, holding and underlining is too much. Like the doc is trying too hard to prove something that isn’t there.

Just write the facts in plain text.

Oh ok, you think the design is bad - well then, I guess we'll just blow off this whole inquiry then. Bad design, he must be innocent. Geez.

A new high of 50% of Americans say Trump should be impeached and removed from office.

Those results are extremely divided:
--87% of Democrats
--50% of independents

Trump’s approval hovers at 41%, with 90% of GOP approving.

Yep, disasterous for Pelosi and the Dems

(Pelosi has a 44% favorability rating, highets among national politicians)

Every time I see such a poll, I always wonder: what is the proportion of Republicans to Democrats to Independents?

It seems like it would matter very much at this point. Some moderate Republicans have been leaving the party in recent years. How large is this Republican block that approves Trump at 90%?

That’s a very good point. The GOP is rapidly contracting and becoming denser, like a dying star.

Swing state voters aren't so "in" on impeachment.

Voters in the states likeliest to decide the 2020 presidential election support the impeachment inquiry that House Democrats began last month, but a majority still opposes impeaching President Trump and removing him from office, according to a New York Times/Siena College survey.

In the six closest states carried by the president in 2016, registered voters support the impeachment inquiry by a five-point margin, 50 percent to 45 percent. The same voters oppose impeaching Mr. Trump and removing him from office, 53 percent to 43 percent.

The survey depicts a deeply divided electorate in battleground states a year from the election, with the president’s core supporters and opponents exceptionally energized and unified. Yet at the same time, a crucial sliver of relatively moderate voters — just 7 percent of the electorate — support the inquiry without backing Mr. Trump’s impeachment and removal from office.

Maybe they should send this to Paul Ryan since he’s the one who wrote the rules that the Democrats are using.

Also I wouldn’t trust either of the clowns who wrote this letter.

+1

Idiot Tea Party Republicans, not serious about governing, just grifting.

Note the footnotes at the link that states that Schiff, et al, are in violation of House rules.

hmmm... I think they need to study Trump's letter to Erdogan and get with the new writing style!

Watching this, it is clear he is not a well man. I am dealing with a family member who is in a similar state of mental decline.

Tell us more; I missed it.

Trump sounded completely unhinged, but what else is new. He looked awful, and was spitting pure hatred. They’re going to have to carry him out on a stretcher or in a straight jacket at some point.

Repeating over and over, "Did you hear how they cheered for me in Dallas?"
