No offense but what exactly has ECNL done this year?
They promoted a club on the boys side and then they left to mls next…
Then they promoted some unheard of teams to NL…
Dallas Surf, NVA, McLean, Loudon, Midwest United are all pretty good pick ups.
None of those are "pretty good pick ups".
Look at 2012 and younger and your comment is no longer relevant.
The only good 2012 ECNL team just flipped, that should answer your question. The others were bare minimum.
This move is for the future not for the now. NVA even told parents, if you are already in ECNL and getting recruited, go to an ECNL team.
It’s the 2012 and younger that will create the shift.
Wow. You can see five years into the future and know what it will be like? Any winning lottery numbers for this weekend you'd like to share too?

In some ways yes, think of it as a game of chess. If you analyze trends and look at the leverage created by the GA/MLS Next partnership you can say with a certain probability that it will occur. Nothing is 100% but if you were going to invest in one league for a return in 5 years, the majority of smart investors would go with GA.
I said this earlier, but VA isn't the canary in the coal mine. This is a shakeup based on an area with too many clubs/unions/associations that went south.

Here's the tea: ECNL bigwigs (Cullina and Christian) are freaking out, calling VA clubs and begging them not to jump ship. They know something big is coming, and they're scared they're gonna lose everyone. It's like, the sharks are circling, and ECNL's starting to smell blood in the water.
Basically, either clubs get on board now, or they're gonna get left in the dust. This is gonna be wild.
Better be true or this is actionable since you decided to use people's names in your story.
