100% not true.
GA hasn't said anything about SY.
same moron that trolls any time this is brought up. Most likely just likes messing with all the neurotic parents. As another poster said, this is a done deal for GA. Just ask your DOC. It has been discussed multiple times with GA DOC’s. At the annual meeting, during the town hall and now it is on the admin portal on the GA website. The only thing unclear is if it will be 8-1 but most think it will be.
Post all the documents that you say exist.
Maybe you didnt hear all the posters before you………ASK YOUR GA DOC………unless you are not even in GA, which is probably pretty likely. Note how literally EVERYONE but you already knows this. If you need to know who your DOC is just tell us all your club, you can still stay anonymous but that will finally make you put up or shut up.
So you have no proof of your statement.
Good to know
Still waiting for your club so I can help you contact your DOC………..
Its your responsibility to prove the statements you make not mine. How lazy can you be?
Verification is what makes statements true vs just rumors.
I will just leave this here…….

Stay tuned. Might not need to call your DOC after all. Public proof might be here sooner rather than later. 😂
On your bat phone with Trish the Commish again?
If you keep guessing something will happen eventually something will happen.
Receipts or shut up.
Just remember I tried to help you……..😂

If you were opinionated and closed minded along the way, you didn't learn anything. And considering going from BY to SY will be a new experience with players not forced of new teams, this will be a new situation where experience among parents doesn't exist. GA director monitoring internet forums for BY/SY gossips . LOL
Or maybe…just maybe…GA directors have children who play too? 😱
GA directors/coaches already know. SoCal here, tryout is 4 months away, our U12 pre-GA is already training with our "projected" roster in selected sessions.
Also tryouts aren't 4 months away for GA who's season starts in July.
SOCAL league the youngers and 3rd + 4th team olders league is in 3-4 months. SOCAL has stated that they're moving from BY to SY.
U12 pre-GA will be finishing up their season in 4 months, followed immediately by the tryout for U13 GA
Correct, but this is a grey area.
Usually the top players on a SOCAL youngers team become the players for rhe GA team. But clubs still hold u13 GA tryouts in May/June.
What this sounds like is SOCAL tryouts which are looking to create SY teams are being confused with GA tryouts.
Sure, continue to believe in whatever you want to believe.
Imagine if the Wall Street people waiting to make their moves after the "official announcements" from companies, they'd all be working at MacDonalds.
I'm ok with a non official document or statement that proves of disproves but neither of these or an official statement have occurred.
You have unsubstantiated rumors and someone saying ask your doc. Why would I need to ask my kids doc wouldn't they already be communicating plans?
Have you been around youth soccer very long? I don’t ask that in a mean way, I’ve yet to see a club that was good at communicating plans to parents, especially 6-7 months in advance.
I don’t see a scenario that GA stays BY but you’re right, they haven’t come out and made a public statement. The change to SY won’t benefit my kid so we are operating under the assumption that it’s changing and planning accordingly.
Surprisingly there is very little chatter about the age change in our local area. Everyone just seems to be ignoring it for now which is probably what clubs want so they can concentrate on this year. I think by the end of the fall season/January at the latest that will change.
People aren't disucssing it because for older players it really doesnt matter. Current older BY trapped players are comfortable on the team they're playing on. Clubs have worked sometimes for years grooming parents into being their piggy back. Neither group wants change.
Youngers probabaly care a lot more about the change but they're already expecting change every year. So changing to SY is just more of the same.
Theres no fake flex. The ECNL numbnuts even said it themselves in their podcast that if warranted it would make sense for many BY trapped players to stay with their current team. They've already paid for the season, are engaging with recruiters, are telling them which team to watch them play on, etc. Honestly on top of all that its just easier to leave the olders alone for clubs.
And constantly trying to insult people with old fogy put downs is ineffective and just ages you.
Did I just catch you saying that BY trapped players will stay with their current team? Is this correct ChaChi?
Stop trying to reason with them. They're obviously youngers parents that think they know it all.

It was interesting hearing them say basically look if your kid is doing well at their level, that's good for growth, too. Don't be a rush to play on the team up. Maybe practice with the olders or guest play.

GA director here. You’re full of it. Likely the same person pretending to be more than one.

100% not true.

Yeah, it isn’t always a fake flex. My Q4 is very technically gifted but small. She is clearly a top player on a top team. I was hoping GA would stay BY. I am not excited about her playing with/against girls another 5 months older/bigger/stronger. The problem is she would dominate the team below because it is not strong. From her standpoint this change stinks.
