Shine some sunlight on that whole racket.
Of course you think this. You are liberals. You believe that the decisions of the Supreme Court should be impacted by the mob. You think that the angry protests should make a difference in how the court decides cases.
Party of January 6 says what?
I did see the protesters storming the court and beating people with flagpoles and fire extinguishers.

That being said, I hope this opinion is amended. I am tired of the culture wars. I value the American center and I feel that both “sides” would be well advised to resist stomping on hot button issues in this period of time that feels perilously fractious.

I am a conservative as well.
I hope it stands. This is not a decision for SCOTUS and never has been. This is an issue that should be legislated.
I have heard many ask why 9 unelected people get to make decisions like this. Well, that is exactly what happened when Roe was decided. This court seems to be seeing the danger in the court making these decisions. Leave it to the legislature.
Why have 9 unelected people make decisions for Americans at all?

But allowing for carve outs defeats the whole purpose of “life begins at conception” doesn’t it? Either it’s a life or it isn’t. Doesn’t matter how it starts (rape, incest, etc).
Look. If that is your belief, don't ever get an abortion. Don't force your belief on me. Leave these decisions to the women making them.
Respectfully that’s not really a persuasive argument.
Don't force you anti abortion views on me is not persuasive? Why do you need to do it? I might believe the world is over populated and no more children should be born at all. Or I should only have one child. Do I force that on you?

Neither is but religion

unfortunately, she is the only person on the court who has given birth.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It disturbs me that the severe pain of childbirth is left entirely out of the abortion debate. Forcing someone to go through that experience, ignoring all other aspects of forced pregnancy and parenthood, is literal torture. It is traumatizing for many women who voluntarily give birth to healthy babies with a smooth delivery. It’s an immense amount of suffering.
Just wanted to point out that the handmaiden on the court, the middle finger to intelligent women everywhere, said pregnancy and childbirth are no big deal.
I completely agree with you. No one should have to undertake that unless they want it.
