+1 I agree. Vance's only redeemable quality is that he isn't Trump. He doesn't have that charisma that I don't see or understand but that is so spellbinding for 38% of our country. He doesn't have cult leader qualities. Congress won't be afraid of him.
We can argue whether it is "worse" to be an ignorant narcissist or an insecure man who has sold his soul, but that isn't the relevant point. What matters is that Vance won't be a dictator.
Agreed, because then the conversation returns to politics. Maybe somebody doesn't like Vance's politics, but it's just politics again. Trump is selfish, corrupt, a criminal, a narcissist, a moron, and clearly has dementia on top of all his worst lifelong traits. Vance wouldn't have accepted the jet bribe from Qatar, did all the tariff nonsense, started the Iran war, tore down the East Wing, unleashed ICE to inflict hell across the country, etc. Now he probably would have done a lot of things people didn't agree with, but it would have felt more normal as compared to Trump's chaos.
Let's not go that far. It hasn't been "just politics" with the MAGA/GOP for decades. Just politics is "You want to do X for climate change, I want do Y," not "Is climate change real?"

No. He was a neocon/intel plant. He was mentored by David Frum. It wasn’t serendipitous that he was set up with Amy Chua and Peter Thiel. Guy’s entire life is fake. He was created in a lab.

Viktor Orbán’s government is widely accused of fostering systemic, state-level corruption in Hungary, with Transparency International ranking it among the European Union’s most corrupt nations. Critics describe a "state capture" system where public tenders are designed to enrich a narrow circle of pro-Fidesz elite, with the EU freezing billions in funds over rule-of-law concerns.
Key elements of corruption under Orbán include:
Systemic State Capture: The Fidesz party has consolidated control over state institutions, public procurement, and media, effectively eliminating checks and balances.
EU Corruption Ranking: As of 2023/2024, Hungary is regarded as the most corrupt EU state, sharing the spot with Bulgaria in some indices.
Nepotism and Public Funds: Critics allege the elite frequently win public procurement contracts. Examples include reported financial irregularities involving firms tied to Orbán’s family and friends.
Frozen EU Funds: The European Union has withheld over €19 billion in funds due to deep concerns regarding corruption, misuse of public funds, and the lack of independent oversight.
Judicial Independence: The government has been accused of filling judicial bodies with political loyalists, curbing the ability to investigate corruption.

Have some respect for other religions, PP. Shame on you.
