But if a person is resisting arrest and has a firearm, they have every right to remove it because it is a threat.
he wasn't resisting
Watch the video. He kept trying to get up when they were trying to restrain him.
People like PP are truly ghouls who don't understand physiology. The body's instinct is to react. It's wholly disingenous to say that people who are being attacked should just resist and fall to the ground because you'd have to go against your instincts and your fight or flight response, which is very hard to do, especially under extreme duress. You're not thinking at a moment like that, your body is reacting.
How do people not understand this? Try walking without moving your arms.
But also, at that point, he knew he was being murdered, not arrested. iCE had no authority to arrest him. He had every right to resist.
He may have had the right to resist, but if he hadn’t, he’d likely still be alive

I mean, obviously, if you hear gunfire behind you, you have to shoot the guy in front of you already on his hands and knees. It's just logic.

And it's just logic to fire off multiple rounds when surrounded by your fellow officers in very close proximity to you and not worrying about hitting any of them by mistake.

How TF was he resisting arrest? He was peppersprayed at point blank range. They could have walked away at that point.
Let me repeat, THEY COULD HAVE WALKED AWAY AT THAT POINT.
People kill. Not guns.
Anonymous wrote:Can someone tell me why ICE was even at that exact location? Their only authority is immigration enforcement. Was an undocumented immigrant present at the scene? Was the woman or Pretti preventing them from approaching that immigrant, showing that immigrant their badge, and questioning them?
Because if this was not happening, ICE was not legally fulfilling their role as law enforcement.

Are you supposed to remain motionless like a corpse while being tear gassed, punched, and sat upon?
Asking for me and my friends who will be attending more protests.
Yes. How do people not realize this? Pretend you're playing freeze-tag if that's what it takes.

It’s a known issue. I wonder if in the process of disarming him a shot from his gun went off and the panic started and shots were directed at him. Not excusing but trying to make sense.
That is exactly what happened. But the left (who knows nothing about guns) wont accept it.
It’s truly fascinating to see how quickly the MAGA story has gone from “he was a domestic terrorist who was trying to assassinate federal agents” to “our agents are a bunch of f$ck ups who negligently discharged a weapon and then freaked out and starting blasting away at the guy.”
Np here. I remember a time when LEO and federal agents were specifically trained to NOT panic and start shooting wildly at someone’s back at the sound of gunfire. Remember when they had training and skills to deescalate a situation and neutralize a perceived threat or suspect without the loss of life? Those were the days. Turns out 47 days of training (chosen to honor Trump being the 47th president) might not have been sufficient, shockingly.
Is this true?
