so maybe they have realistically maybe eight to ten/twelve years to do that if all goes well. Statistically, traveling after he's 85 is unlikely. And then the odds are she will become his caregiver at some point. So, I just don't see the romance here and I'm not a cynic. There are also adult children to "blend" (all daughters which have been very involved with their widowed parent...so also likely to be complicated). And there's likely a lot of money involved (see Theresa's house in Shrewsbury which I'm sure is only one part of an extensive baby boomer portfolio!). I hope she's smart enough to protect herself.
Do you have details about her home?
Her house in Shrewsbury IS TINY and only woth 568k. What are you talking about. My house is worth 6 times that and I'm a nobody.
Maybe she and her DH downsized once the kids were out of the house. He had kidney disease and may have been on disability for a while. He asked her to start working so that they wouldn't continue paying out of pocket for health insurance, which suggests he didn't have a corporate job. His obituary was beautiful, sounds like a very special man. No mention of his profession. Apparently Theresa got her love of gardening from him.

She did spend thousands of dollars on her wardrobe for the show though, and has spent a fair bit on cosmetic work. But she lives quite modestly otherwise.
Are you basing your assessment on the value of Theresa's house, as reported earlier on this thread? I assume she lives alone, so she doesn't need a large home.

You are either uninformed or purposely feigning ignorance.
If you own a multimillion dollar home, you are far from the average American. (Who will never own even a million dollars in assets)
I realize that. But people are acting like she is rich because she has a 500k home. That is laughable.

How did they even find this dude?
He’s just some random old white guy like millions of others.
Many of the women they cast at least had some vague connection to fame.
It goes to show how challenging it was to find a senior man who is tall, fit, reasonably attractive, and affable. That's why the picked him, plus the appealing widower narrative. It does concern me that they'll have a hard time finding decent guys for Golden Bachelorette. All the men I know in their 60s and 70s are married.
With some exceptions, all the men I know in their 60s and 70s are rigid and set in their ways or hog the spotlight--blah, blah, blah. So boring.
There is no reason they can’t include men in their 40s and 50s. Look at Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron. She is 70 and he is 45. It happens more than you might think.
Actually no, it doesn't. It happens very rarely.
That kind of age difference is rare but relationships where the woman is 10-15 years older are not uncommon.
I think Leslie would be far better suited to a 55 year old than a 72 year old.

I saw supportive posts for Leslie from Joan, Trista, and Caitlyn Bristowe. Didn’t see any for Theresa. The kind thing to do would be to be generous and supportive to both. A simple “we love you Leslie” and “congratulations, Theresa!” right? Anyway, I find this a little puzzling given the nice camaraderie in the house.
Several looked very upset on Leslie's behalf during ATR, and all of them were aware of the not-nice revelations about Gerry's dating life that had just come out. Theresa's feed is full of comments about Gerry being after her money. Honestly, I feel bad for her. I hope both ladies are being supported privately by the other women, at least. They might feel challenged saying anything publicly right now.
Some are trickling out. Susan and Kathy posted a joint one, supporting both ladies. Kathy is desperate to redeem herself lol.
There is nothing Kathy could do to redeem herself. She’s done it to herself.

Is there any casting going on? It actually occurs to me that I know one (A lifelong friend of DH. He's 66 or so? Really good looking).
In MD?
