FCV and Loudoun are merging and building an indoor training facilities. They will have a GA and ECNL team which will raise money to build its own IMG like program as well. As well as. Beach house only athletes and coaches are allowed.

I know. FCV will stay in GAL. They will win a lot of games against GAL teams but no one will care bc it’s GAL. Then they will talk up how they will win Jeff Cup only to lose to Loudoun. Rinse and repeat.

Agreed. New ECNL clubs are good. New ECNL-RL clubs are at least regional. I don’t think GAL will fold either, but they can’t afford to be picky about club quality or location - so in a year or two that league will look like the CCL. Too much travel for too little payback. Good luck.

Look at the quality of the clubs ECNL added vs a GAL. New ECNL clubs were some of the best GAL clubs. I agree the GAL will not fold, but it will lose its best players and clubs steadily in the coming years.

You do realize GAL went from 69 clubs last year to 80 this season. That’s pretty good growth not folding. For comparison ECNL added 8 new clubs this year to reach 111.
