There is zero scientific consensus that masks do anything to stop or slow the spread of COVID; there’s just some cherry-picked politically-motivated garbage that even The Atlantic had debunked:

Our children have been masked long enough. This is stupid. And I am concerned about the mental health and long-term socialization effects of this nearly two years of hiding our faces behind pointless cloth rags. Enough already. Let these kids live life normally; they are not at risk.
Why are you making your kid wear a cloth rag? Buy a decent mask.
Who is the hillbilly “cloth rag” poster who pops up on every thread?

Anonymous wrote:guys, it's time to move on from these masks...let's not pretend there are no soccer games and play dates, birthday parties and the rest of it going on without these kids wearing masks outside school...I know psychologically people feel better with the masks bc we have been conditioned to think so over the past 2 years , but everyone who wants to wear one still can. That coupled with your vaccine, if you so chose to have your child vaccinated, is another layer of protection. Control what you can (your kid). But for others it's time to move on....this virus is here to stay! Have faith in God and forge ahead....!

Except wearing a mask may have unknown and unexamined negative effects on children’s ability to develop socio-cognitive skills and verbal skills; and may be contributing to a distressing rise in childhood depression and suicide.
There simply is no science that proves mandatory masks does anything at all to reduce the spread of COVID. It is theater. It has gone on long enough and our children deserve to be able to live a normal life again.
While it's possible for you to be unaware that masking can limit the spread of a respiratory transmitted disease, it's more likely that you're doing performance acting - use the internet wisely. The sooner we act responsibly the quicker and more safely we can get through this together.

A study of an outbreak aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, an environment notable for congregate living quarters and close working environments, found that use of face coverings on-board was associated with a 70% reduced risk of infection.
During July 15–August 31, 2021, when Delta was the predominant strain circulating in the U.S., about one in five K–12 public non-charter schools open for in-person learning in Maricopa and Pima Counties, Arizona, experienced a school-associated outbreak. Outbreaks were three and a half times more likely (adjusted odds ratio 3.5, 95% confidence interval 1.8-6.6) in schools without mask mandates.
In investigation of a high-exposure event in the U.S., in which 2 symptomatically ill hair stylists interacted for an average of 15 minutes with each of 139 clients during an 8-day period, found that none of the 67 clients who subsequently consented to an interview and testing developed infection. The stylists and all clients universally wore masks in the tsalon as required by local ordinance and company policy at the time.

At this point everyone who wants a vaccine has gotten one; whatever minimal protection it provides, they have. The government has already admitted that essentially everybody will get COVID. Anyone who wants to can wear a mask.
No - you are not going to inject my child with some experimental mRNA cooked up by Big Pharma during the Trump Administration.
No - my child is not going to spend the rest of his childhood wearing a rag over his face after every new variant is announced.
This thing is now like a bad flu; anyone who is too afraid to work in schools at this point should find another job.
