I have two kids, both with ADHD. One is thriving at gds and the other attends a SN school -- he wouldn't be admitted to GDS and if somehow he was, he would not be successful. Two kids, same diagnosis, completely different needs. No one can make a recommendation based only on diagnosis.

Not sure about Sheridan as the school is quite small and has previously counseled out kids with differences. But do ask the school.

Because the Maret community does not want kids who diverge too far from the mean. Such children are either not admitted in the first place or live on the edge of being counseled out rather than supported. It’s not a good environment.



I would say this for all the Wisconsin ave schools. Want the appearance of being accommodating but at the end of the day they don’t want to invest in it and still want high flying kids that can do so mostly solo.

Disagree. They used to be but that has changed in recent years.

Maybe it's too far (it's in Mclean VA), but what about The Langley School? They are such a nurturing and warm environment.

Check out The River School. There are a few kids with hearing loss in each class, integrated with hearing kids. The small class sizes with a teacher and SLP in each class might work well for your daughter. Worth giving them a call anyways. It goes up to 5th grade.
