And I think quite a few people would add that the best two MD boys teams were not even in the eastern regionals. That age group looks good. We will see how they progress as they get older over the next few years.
Who would argue that? Both state cup and regionals actually had the top two MD boys teams playing each other.

Surprised. I always thought girls were stronger than boys in this area (and I continue to believe this). 2009 boys from DMV had 4 of the top 5 teams in group play, advancing 3 to the semis. How many teams were in group play on the girls side? It’s too bad because so many of these kids won’t play for clubs or teams that allow them to play this tournament again.
