That’s not relatively slim it is slim. JFC the disordered thinking in this thread.
Thank you. That's a BMI of <19.
Seriously. That’s 2 lbs away from being clinically underweight. This poster has an eating disorder. No one should be fasting one day a week at that weight, especially since it seems like it doesn’t come naturally to her.
I’m 5’4’’ 123, so I guess I’m a fatty on this thread.![]()
NP here. I don’t know why people keep saying PP has eating disorder. I am also 5’7” and have a BMI under 18. I am very small framed and have a lot of muscle. I do not have a eating disorder nor have I ever had one. A recent physical shows great blood work and vitals. Doc was not concerned with my weight at all. I spend a lot of time at my sport, but that is to excel in the sport, not to lose weight. I like to cook and don’t limit any food groups and definitely eat sweets. I just make sure I get enough protein and fruits and veggies, but don’t shy away from dessert or fried food.
If you had a lot of muscle you'd weight more. Muscle is heavy. The following is from NerdFitness
I am female, but I have lived with men enough to know for a fact that men would find this woman’s body attractive and not at all fat. No man would look at this woman and say she should lose weight. Women (some of them) have such a screwed up perception of weight.
Doesn't say how tall she is. At that weight, I bet she's at least 5'7", probably taller.
Sure, but PP is also 5'7" and weights about 110 lbs. Do you think that woman could lose 40 lbs and still be muscular?
Here are three examples of women in that height/weight range and none of them look emaciated. So not impossible.

I doubt the woman in that photo is 140 or 150 lbs. She looks fantastic and fit, muscular, but not bulky at all. I am the PP who is 5’7” and BMI under 18. I am slightly thinner, but not much more, and I’m toned. I look like the woman in the second photo in the link someone posted (although a few decades older).
That's a very realistic look for women at mid/high normal BMIs who lift. She's not *lying about her weight*. And of course she's not bulky. WTF. What do you think women with normal BMIs who lift look like, bodybuilders?

It's not a sign that you have more willpower or self-control. It's just the luck of the draw.
I agree with this - genetically thin person
I think like intelligence and so many other things - it's mostly luck of the draw, with a little wiggle room for what you do with what you've got
With weight, willpower can adequately compensate for genetics. There is not a being on this planet who will be overweight at 1300 calories a day over 5+years. Bu it is hard because willpower has a genetic component as well.
Good luck getting enough willpower to get a PHD in physics. Put in all you wake hours, and you will still not scratch the surface if you don't have the "smarts" for Math/Physics.

Most people would probably never know, I hide it well. I've had friends comment about how lucky I am that I eat what I eat and remain skinny. I had DH fooled for years.
+1. I've had "low-key" bulimia since I was 19 and I'm 34 now. I throw up after every large meal. If DH knows, he doesnt let on.
What does your dentist say?
