Does this happen to you all regularly? I am shocked to see this. Never thought that any woman would cheapen herself like this. The last 4 years in this country has been eye-opening for me and the world.

Yes, stuff like this happens, although luckily nothing super blatant like this has happened to me (I'm a woman, though). However, less dramatic incidents has happened to people I know--for example, my brother tried to make a return at a store and was accused of stealing. That sort of stuff is relatively minor, but the stress effect is cumulative. Anyway, this stuff doesn't surprise us.

YESSSSS
And you wonder why so many black men have high blood pressure, racism affects your mental and subsequently, your physical health.
Yes, things like this happen often and they always have. Black people and other people of color have always experienced America as racist. I would suggest you do a bit of reading about the Black experience in America. Until relatively recently most white people have denied that racism is a common, systemic, and deeply ingrained part of the American experience. There has always been justification and explanation that these were isolated incidents. Even now, as evident from this thread, many white and privileged people feel compelled to undergo all manner of mental gymnastics to manufacture a motive besides racism for this person’s actions.
Black women too. Yes, this type of stuff happens all the time. When I was in high school, I had a tech internship. When my office mate found out I was half Asian she said, “oh that explains it.” This is just on example among hundreds, probably.

There was no reason for him to approach her and video it so he was setting up the situation and zero respect for him. She handled it very badly but has a right to feel threatened by recording her.

She probably won't loser her job. Just have to do some HR Sensitivity Training.

The dog is a rescue. I don't think she surrendered him. But she did close down her Instagram and LinkedIn accounts with a quickness.
She returned her dog to where it was adopted from. Just as well because she was choking the poor animal. She be charged with animal cruelty and made to volunteer at shelters for both humans and animals. She has had repercussions from her employer.

Yes. Don't forget she approached him, arm outraised, with her voice raised, while he was asking her to stay back. Don't forget she specified to him that she was going to make a police report specifically including the color of his skin.
NOT "back off, I'm calling the police!" NOT "get away, I'm calling the cops!"
It was approaching him, yelling at him, and saying she was going to call the police about an AA man threatening her.
Plus, hello, she could have easily left/run if she was "afraid" for her life.
