You only assume others are lying because you are not following guidelines. My 16 year old son has not seen any friends in person since 3/12, not even the “hang out 6 feet apart” nonsense. Some of us can actually do this right.

1) Haven't seen actual sharing of equipment (good!) although definitely much less than 6 ft apart and
2) The kids are even younger than tweens-- like 7-8 years old (bad!)
Bad in the sense that... how are you trusting even very responsible 2nd graders to follow all proper protocols without supervision?? I'd be fine with them being out on their own generally.

People just don’t get it, I’m watching tweens on my street out riding bikes and scootering and watching as they all take turns on the same scooter, great way to share germs. I know the parents - all nice people who think they are seriously isolating so either they aren’t taking as seriously as they think or they aren’t paying attention to what the kids are up to outside.

And fwiw, we have been home (save grocery stores and essentials). I'm WAH 100% during this. But, yes, I do let child out to ride bikes with friends on the street on occasion. That is not out of line with what the current rules as set are. You may not like it, but I don't much care.
Actually, we are not to leave our homes except for essential purposes. Exercise ok. Stay six feet apart from others. Hanging out is not essential. You can zoom, FaceTime etc, but hanging out in person is not the same as picking up a prescription.

I live in Queens, NY. My local hospital is the one you're seeing on the news. Please isolate as much as you possibly can. The grocery stores here are starting to close, and delivery services are dwindling. We are fine, and have food for a week, stable jobs, and health, but this is sobering.

How are the people getting to your home if they don’t live there? It means they didn’t STAY HOME.
