That says all that needs to be said about these two schools. If Georgetown isn't prestigious ( which is preposterous, it's one of the most famous schools in the world) neither is Notre Dame.

Doesn't mean GT isn't a good school. It's not ND. I can't stand ND for a variety of reasons but any comparison isn't realistic. You have to really love DC to turn down ND and go to GT.

Georgetown beyond the front of Healy has some cramped, dark areas that are not very pleasant. You are also on final approach for planes landing at Reagan. Spend a day or two on campus and you will hear the constant noise above you since the planes follow the river to land at DCA. I just want to point these items out, especially the planes since people making a quick visit may not notice. Thank you.

Thank you! The ND boosters are too dim to get that. Then, they have the gall to compare it to Ivies. ND = striver wannabes from hick town red Indiana.

My cousin got into 2 Ivies and rejected from Georgetown (she is catholic too).
My husband got into Duke and Johns Hopkins and was rejected from Georgetown. (not catholic)

Some of the garbage that is thrown out on these threads just boggles the mind. Nobody who gets into Notre Dame is going to choose any of these schools over it except for GU and BC. Jesuit high school graduates go to ND all the time. And there's no such thing as a "Jesuit parish."
Where did you grow up? The Northeast has lot of Jesuit parishes.

In these difficult times, priests and their lay collaborators in Jesuit ministries across the United States are offering spiritual consolation in the form of live-streaming liturgical services. Below you can find a list of Jesuit parishes and chapels and the dates/times they will be offering weekday and Sunday Mass in English, Spanish and even Polish.
