“Another Republican senator is speaking out in defense of the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of President Donald Trump's rage this week.

"Whistleblowers should be protected," Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa told a constituent at a town hall in Templeton, Iowa, on Thursday. "I stand with Chuck Grassley on this. We have laws in place."

He could take it up, but limit the amount of time dedicated to it; obviously Justice Roberts would preside, but McConnell would make the rules.

Will this guy actually vote for impeachment?

I’d bet not!

I bet he would. That's a pretty biting rebuke. Why do that and invite the wrath of Trump's twitter unless you've made a decision to take a stand on what's right? Trump doesn't forgive and forget and criticism.

Donald Trump's presidency is being threatened by impeachment over the Ukraine phone call scandal.

And top Republicans Chuck Grassley & Ron Johnson want a DOJ investigation... into Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign.

I don't see it turning as long as stuff like this is taking place

Jeff Flake to Republicans: “you can go elsewhere for a job, you cannot go elsewhere for a soul.”

Flake had a chance to be a better check on the President, and he failed to find his spine at every turn, but this is a cute attempt at salvation.

Better late than never. Jesus will forgive if you ask for forgiveness. There's no salvation for those who refuse to acknowledge their wrong doing.

Is it though? There are tons of anti-Trump Republicans but funnily enough, they are all already out of office! Hmm...

Because they can’t get re-elected in their pro Trump districts so they resigned? How is that their fault? They would have lost the next time their seat was up anyway.

Wow. You really took it down point by point. Strong comment.

PP is right. And there is nothing of substance here to “take down”. It’s actually all pretty comical.

Comical is indeed the perfect word.

If Dems hadn't spent 3 years crying wolf a million times we might find them more credible this time.

You haven't read the Mueller Report.

And, the Washington Post reported just on Friday that Trump has acknowledged that, in fact, Russia DID interfere with the US election.

So that sort of undermines your argument.

PP, you are so cute assuming that Trumpers know how to read!

Let's face it - Hannity and Judge Jeanine are really our POTUS and VP.

Wonder what's happening in the White House right now? Someone must be changing his diaper.

And you think YOU are cute?!

Anonymous wrote:If Mitch wants to keep his position, he should bring down Pence first and get another VP who could run if Trump crumbles. (See Spiro Agnew and Gerald Ford; shows an R could win.)

Pence's evangelical background is a put off to many Rs and Independents and that would be a big negative in a Presidential campaign.

I could see Romney, but Trump would fight hard against that. Possibly Haley. Don't see Mitch or Trump going for Kasich for VP.

Tiny historical detail: Gerald Ford never won an election. He was defeated by Jimmy Carter.
