Sorry but if your are playing in the top division of EDP and leave to go to ECNL II, you should re-consider. Most of the teams in those divisions are teams playing in the top brackets of Bethesda or Jefferson Cup. They are literally beating most of the teams in ECNL I. It is a step down for any of the top players at these clubs to go to ECNL II. Get serious. Even's PDA's II is not up to par with the top teams in EDP's top division. And what is ECNL II supposed tp get a player. Jyst more travel to play weaker opponents.
Lol at this guy

Anonymous wrote:And there is no promotion for regional ECNL teams to either ECNL 1 or 2? Just same VPL under new banner.
Anonymous wrote:This is ECNL's attempt to compete against EDP. The reality is that ECNL2 and Regional ECNL are jokes. Most of the ECNL teams in the NE can't compete against the top EDP teams so a league comprised of lesser clubs and ECNL B teams is not going to appeal to players at the top EDP clubs, i.e. Pipeline, Rush, SAC, NJ Stallions, etc.

So far for girls only and regional ECNL (not ECNL 2). Yes there is a difference.
What is the difference?
At least in the (D)MV ECNL2 and Regional ECNL are two totally different things:
MD:
Each ECNL club will have two teams ECNL1 and ECNL2. They will play games with same schedule and travel the same long distances.
NOVA:
No ECNL clubs have second ECNL teams for now at least.
Non ECNL former VPL/NPL clubs will continue to compete against each other (short travel distances) under the new league Regional ECNL. In most cases these are the top teams for these clubs although some of these clubs also are feeder clubs for DA/ECNL or in one case have their own DA teams.

The difference between ecnl and regional ecnl is they’re just different levels of competition. There will not be promotion and relegation. The regional league will be 2nd teams and feeder clubs.
