I'll say it again: if your justification for government-sanctioned child abuse is that they crossed a line on a map, on rock floating in infinite space, you are failing as a human being. You just are.

I'm sure you'd love it if your 8 year old were sleeping on concrete, infested with lice with no way to get rid of them, no shower, no soap, lights on all night. I mean seriously, go f yourself and your f-ing word play.

I'd say there's "government-sanctioned" child abuse in foster care situations and in juvenile detention centers. Where's the uproar? Most of the kids in juvie are black - and interestingly enough - Native American males. The majority of the kids in foster care are white, however, but black kids are second.
Again, where's the uproar?

As they shouldn't. They have no way to clear them to ensure they're safe. All they need is someone sending bad toothpaste or something that wasn't packaged properly and got infected for it to spread around and people get sick. They would get blamed for it as they're already blamed for merely doing their jobs.
Yes, the are following the instructions of the White House. That is how it started in Germany, too.

Typhus can be caused by lice.
This is important. So, on Wednesday, we received reports from children of a lice outbreak in one of the cells where there were about twenty-five children, and what they told us is that six of the children were found to have lice. And so they were given a lice shampoo, and the other children were given two combs and told to share those two combs, two lice combs, and brush their hair with the same combs, which is something you never do with a lice outbreak. And then what happened was one of the combs was lost, and Border Patrol agents got so mad that they took away the children’s blankets and mats. They weren’t allowed to sleep on the beds, and they had to sleep on the floor on Wednesday night as punishment for losing the comb. So you had a whole cell full of kids who had beds and mats at one point, not for everybody but for most of them, who were forced to sleep on the cement.

But yeah...this is totally different.
Give me a break. There was a lice outbreak at a Arlington county school. If having lice means people are in concentration camps then the Arlington school is a concentration camp. While some of the students might agree it's one - a reasonable adult doesn't. Same thing here. The people calling them concentration camps are idiots.

+1 No child should be in those conditions. Some day our grandkids will be going to the Migrant Museum and wondering why citizens today didn't rise up and protect children when they had the chance.

Why are Congressional Democrats allowing this to continue?
While some Trump policies like family separation are absolutely new and worse, the worst aspect of Trump is the dehumanizing rhetoric used as a wedge political issue. That's the terrifying innovation. However, I agree with the main point that Democrats are hypocrits, and most American people are dumb about this stuff. Americans (left and right) generally know very little about immigration & foreign policy, and the approaches differ less than you would think between parties.
