the prosecutors race discussion is not nearly as offensive as the full throated virtually unanimous attack on anyone who dares to express concerns about the transgender policy. They actually cuss out the individual, and telll them to leave Arlington, then try to pretend that the reason people are hesistant to voice concerns is those individuals 'know' they are wrong.
I have had numerous tentative conversations with actual APS parents who are very concerned about this policy. There cannot be any discussion of it on AEM b/c of the cyber-bullying that is being allowed there.

"gross" I get, even if I don't agree, but how it is unethical? It's a Facebook group with moderators, who run the board they voluntarily as private citizens. They get to have politics, you and I get to disagree with the people they support.

I’m impressed that some people are standing up to the idea that a certain quality is justification for being a bully.

Why engage with people like that? Just leave them to their own devices. People like that have a screw loose—they’re just plain antisocial and politics is just a way to express that dimension of their personality in a consequence free zone. Just abandon the group and the bullies will just turn on each other and invent differences between themselves in a competition to see who is most pure.

The group really needs to change its name bc it is not at all about education anymore. It’s been hijacked by the PAC funded Parisa campaign.

I feel sorry for the other mod bc she has always been the more level headed one. The biggest bully should just take over bc she basically runs the place now.

It seems these sites have traded places when it comes to civility. From now on, if someone is rude, quick to jump on anyone else who dissents or is obviously trying to shove their agenda down the throats of others by mocking them, I’ll call it pulling an AEM.

Yes, that's the same mod. The other mod posts occasionally but isn't as active as she was when the group was set up. I don't blame her if she got sick of it.

I think it is hard to not be political at all when discussing education, especially with APS. But candidates outside of the school board should not be dominating the group. It loses its focus and helpfulness. They didn’t want to limit it probably because they want to promote their preferred candidate. But it will lessen the meaningful dialogue and make the group less relevant and informed. They chose short term gain over long term success of the group, whether consciously or not.
