Yes, he doesn't look well. He's only 71 and he does seem older than that. I think his separation from Maria Shriver really has taken a toll on him. They still aren't officially divorced. Apparently he won't sign the papers to make their divorce official. It's a shame.

He's 6'2". Maybe you saw a look a like shorty?
I used to date the short version of a well known celebrity.
I went to college with a look-alike tiny Brad Pitt.
Schwarzenegger is not 6'2". I've run into him a couple of times, back when he lived (or visited) DC regularly. I'm 5'8", and he was much closer to my height then that. Most of these guys lie and are made to look taller on film. He was huge, though.
I also flew from Bangalore to Frankfurt sitting next to Richard Gere--stood next to him a few times. He's quite a bit smaller than the 5'11" on his bio, too. He was quite nice, but pretty scruffy looking.
Schwarzenegger had a history of body building competitions where height/weight was well documented. Maybe most celebrities can get away with fibbing a bit about their stats but I don't think that was possible for a guy like Arnold. I do wonder if maybe you ran into a look a like.

Saw him a few weeks ago while he was doing some bizarre press at the CA wildfires. He looks really rough, almost sickly.

He didn’t say anything but when I made eye contact to thank him there was an air of importance around him even while dressing pretty scruffy. He is also shorter in person.
Saw Keira Knightly out with her DD once and she looked very normal and shy. I barely recognised her. Though her jawline really stood out...it’s not as attractive in person as it is on film.
What an odd thing to say when he helped you out. Maybe you're just not used to people with different accents than your own?
Np. This Salman Rushdie description is really interesting to me. OP said he didn't speak, so your accent comment is off the mark. What are you irritated with/offended by?
He didn’t offend me...he did me a solid. It was a super busy train station and I had my kid with me. It was really nice that we helped me out and I was taken about by the intensity of him even though the encounter lasted only a few seconds.

Personalitywise, she was basically normal to talk to...seemed a little out of her element at a normal-people party in Pennsylvania.
Gene Siskel came into a shop where I was working in 1995 in NYC. He just seemed normal. I never would have recognized him if somebody hadn't pointed him out.
I knew Chloe Sevigny growing up. She was very sullen/unfriendly as a child, just would stare at you as if you had two heads, and was sort of this waify flower child who wore nightgowns to school as a teenager. Her older brother was nice but kind of messed up, always dressed like Jeff Spicoli and I believe they sent him away to school finally, but he later became some big celebrity DJ and is very wealthy now.
Also knew Kate Bosworth as a teenager right before she started her acting career. Very pretty girl but no ego problems and a mean/queen bee type. I was a youth group leader and she was one of those kids who acts very sweet to adults but then mocks them behind their backs.
