That's more plausible. Although still not based in anything other than pure speculation.
No. FCV wants to get rid of a VA compeitor. They will either take over the VA side, effectively eliminating it or seeing to it that Spirit dissolves the VA side. There is no chance Christian took on that job without wanting some influence.
You assume they have more leverage than Spirit. That may not be the case. Christian who is FCV's leader of the pack, is now down the totem pole at Spirit. LOL, how the world turns.
It may be exactly flipped from what you have stated. FCV's win count is irrelevant to business operations or decisions on either side. Spirit can retain the "brand" by promoting that they have assumed FCV's coaching resources and probably the best players as well.
Time for FCV parents to start to worry, especially the bottom half of rosters, bench players, and "DPs."
FCV parents worried? LOL!!!!!! This is a huge win for them.

was just coming on here to post this, sure seems like they're about to get in bed together
Oh no way! The guy just told us that Larry said nothing will be done to the DA.
Oh lord, get a grip. That story relates to the pro team, not DA. Christian is a good coach, why should they avoid him for the pro team. Is there a DA rule against hiring for NWSL teams?
Give it a rest.
Right![]()
No conflict of interest at all. All on the up and up. Did Christian sell the club or step down from FCV?

In fact all of the uncertainty regarding the DA would basically drive people out of and away from the club ensuring that it has to shut down next year anyway.
Yes, someone on here's dream with no basis in fact. US Soccer supports the NWSL clubs and DAs, so really not much to this garbage other than "but Larry is from BRYC" and "but they hired a former FCV coach!"
Please.....Larry has confirmed privately that there are no changes planned at this time. He does have the prerogative to review the business operations at Spirit and optimize them. DA is an area where the club is drawing lots of interest from parents paying big $$ and doing well. Most business people don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If there are changes, more likely it would be withthe "free" ticket associated with the Super Y and potentially DA programs, streamlining coaching, staff, salaries, etc. But to cut out a significant revenue source would not be top on any executive's list.
But we get it supports someone's dreams here, which is why it's being so forcefully promoted.
So, hiring a competing clubs owner and TD as an assistant Pro coach is Spirit DA will be fine? LOL. Who has the agenda now?
