PP, you misquoted the poster. Regional school and regional bias are not the same thing.

I don’t live in DC and I can assure you no one is jealous of UVA. Seriously. My kids are 8 and 12 so nowhere near college age. I respect my friends ‘ kids who get into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge. Your UVA has zero clout or name recognition outside of Virginia, sorry.

UVA is perfect, it's the best college ever. Fun fact: The Ivies, Duke and Vanderbilt have zero Virginia residents enrolled for the 18-19 school year - it's that good.
