Part-time worker mother / wife here.
I am an extrovert and I love socializing, and I used to love entertaining in my home.
The pandemic killed that desire and I now love closing my door knowing no guests will come over. Ever.
I am still an extrovert, but I love my quiet home.

I love it but people don't come!
But, I do hate cleaning before. For some reason, cleaning after is not a big deal for me. And I don't like how dh over provide everything.
Pot luck is ok. Don't need to be the one who provides everything. We also don't get invited anywhere. Dang, we must be very boring! Maybe that's why dh provides most of the alcohol...so people would come.
In my 20s, when we were having potlucks, no one every brought alcohol. No one drank alcohol. Hhhhmmm, I am Boring!

I used to hate it buy now I'm 49. It's amazing how my internal monologue of "what will people think?" has slowed or basically stopped over the past 2 years.

I'm just far more confident in who I am. I don't care about what others think. I now host with confidence. I didn't do anything to prompt this change in thinking--just grew older. Maybe it's a hormonal or chemical thing. I now just enjoy people and the constant stress dialogue in my head has almost entirely stopped.

I do!

Reason being is that I am a very organized neatnik & I feel uncomfortable when other people are in my space.

I hate how “OCD” I am about EVERYthing.
But I cannot help it.

Ideally I would like to only have myself + no one else set foot in my living space.

I am such a weirdo! Lol.

i work full time and i'm exhausted. i have people as little as possible while still trying to be a good mom and family member.

I don’t enjoy hosting friend with young children. I find my friends are always too busy socialising whilst their kids are thrashing my home. I work hard to maintain a beautiful home

No. I do not hate hosting. I am a SAHM and I have support in place for cleaning, serving and bartending. My house is always guest ready and it is decorated to accommodate a lot of people for different kinds of entertaining - BBQ, game night, sleepovers for kids, dance parties, dinner parties, breakfasts, occasions...

I love to cook and can cook elaborate meals for up to 50 people. We have tried and tested menus, suppliers and we make notes of what worked for each party.

Our social circle includes people who host like us and we have a bead on service providers like valet parking, party rentals, dj, decorators etc.
